For the 100th anniversary of the world renowned song "The Condor Pasa," Cesar set out to create a cultural video representing the beauty of the different regions of Peru, including scenes from the coast, mountains and rainforest. Cesar put his heart into this project, as he felt that Daniel Alomía Robles (1871 - 1942), the well-known Peruvian musician and composer, greatly deserved this tribute for having written such a beautiful piece of work. As Inca Emperor, and attended by his collas, (the ladies of his court) Cesar travels to different regions - mountain, sea, and rainforest - of the great empire over which the Inca ruled over six centuries ago. |

In the entertainment section of the weekly Peruvian newspaper "La semana," Cesar was featured in an interview about his role as the Native American Medicine Man in the movie "Killian's Chronicle" (which changed title to The Magic Stone at a later date), stating that Cesar is one of the best examples of an internationally successful Peruvian. In the interview, Cesar talks about the poverty of his childhood, his reasons for emigrating from Peru, and how he arrived specifically to Boston. He also explains that the name "Inca Son" has a double entendre, meaning both the "son of the Inca" as well as "the sound of the Inca." At the time of the interview, Inca Son was finishing the 3rd of it's now 15 CD collection. Cesar explains his role in the movie, as well as mentioning some of the numerous honours that Inca Son had recently received, including "Honorable Peruvian Citizen," and the con-decoration at the United Nations as well as by Fujimori, Peruvian president at the time.

It could be said that the best stage performers are also fine actors, using their creative powers of expression to engage the public. Cesar has given meaning to this saying through his own live performances, one of the factors that led to his being chosen for the role of Native American Medicine Man in The Magic Stone (1995), by the acclaimed independent film producer and director Pamela Berger. The movie, originally titled Killian’s Chronicle and based in part on an Icelandic saga, recounts the clash of Norseman, in the New World, with the Native Americans they encounter there. |
Upon returning to Peru, Cesar has worked on various film projects.
In 2014 Cesar worked on a cultural video to be shown internationally, in which he played the role of a CHASKI (a highly trained runner that delivered messages and objects throughout the Inca Empire, principally in the service of the Sapa Inca) for "Virtual-Peru" and "Peru: progreso para todos." This piece shows how the World Wide Web can make connections between our current culture and our ancestors through modern technology.
During 2015 Cesar and his son can be seen every Saturday at 8:00 am and Sunday afternoon on Channel 5 in the introduction to the popular Peruvian folklore program with Lesley Cabello entitled Encantos del Perú (Enchantments of Peru).

In this movie, Cesar played the role of a man who had his visa denied in a scene at the US Embassy.
Thanks to his friend Fabricio Varela,
director of Peruvian National Folk Dance, Cesar had the honour of representing the Señor of Sipán in the Huaca Pucllana (a pre-Colombian pyramid temple in Lima.) |
